Professional Doula Services

The word doula comes from ancient Greek and is now used to refer to someone experienced in childbirth who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to the mother before, during, and just after childbirth.

As a Birth Doula, I recognize childbirth as a key experience the mother will remember all her life, and to that end I will nurture and protect the woman's memory of the birth experience. I'm committed to the childbearing woman and her partner. I understand the physiology of birth and the emotional needs of a woman in labor and I work with the partner to make a support team for the woman, complementing each other's strengths.
